Artist Biography:
Lesley is a documentary and art photographer who expresses her ideas through photographic gallery installations, mixed media, video, or multi-media pieces.
Her work has been featured in exhibitions at the San Jose Museum of Art, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, the Monterey Museum of Art, the World Affairs Council in San Francisco, the Soros Foundation Moving Walls 15 Documentary Photography Exhibition, and in galleries and museums nationally and internationally.
Documentary video and photographic projects for social change include collaborations with filmmaker Anne Evans on projects for the Colombian environmental agency CORALINA, for BUILD a real-world entrepreneurial program for at-risk teens in the SF Bay area, and initiatives for the African Library Project in Botswana and Lesotho in Sub-Saharan Africa. Other PhotoVoice projects include collaborations with Brandy Dickinson at the Cabrillo Stroke and Disability Learning Center at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.
